Our Military Advisor

Jerry Holmes, Major General, U.S. Air Force (Ret.)

General Holmes flew 135 combat missions in Vietnam. He has commanded a fighter group, a fighter wing, and the U.S. AWACS Air Control Wing. In Europe, he commanded an allied air force and was Chief of Staff of another allied air force. His command in Europe consisted of personnel from 12 nations and bases throughout Europe from Norway to Turkey.

He is a member of the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering Distinguished Graduates Society, the Oklahoma Aviation and Space Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame. He served for 13 years as Chairman of U.S. Senator James M. Inhofe’s Veteran’s Task Force. Since 1997, he has served as adjunct faculty in the Gallogly College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma where he created his course, “Leadership and Management for Engineers.” The Jerry Holmes Leadership Program for Engineers and Scientists was launched at Oklahoma University in 2015 in his honor.
